Beaver Scouts are the youngest section of the Scouting family. Their activities are based around making things, outdoor activities, singing, playing games, going out on visits, investigating nature, listening to stories, learning how to be safe and most importantly, making new friends. Beavers are usually aged between six and eight years old.
Cub Scouting is for young people aged between 8 and 10 ½ years old who like adventure. Cub Scouts make up the second section of the scouting family, between Beavers and Scouts. During their time in the Pack, Cub Scouts will get a chance to try lots of different activities; Camping, Hiking, Wide Games, Map Reading, Knotting, exploring and much, much more..
We are an energetic and advernturous scout troop. We hold weekend camps in the spring-summer, and our main camp usually falls in the first week of school summer holidays.
In 2012 to celebrate our 75th anniversary we spent 10 days in kandersteg, Switzerland. We’ve also recently been to Cornwall. To see what we got up to visit the blog .
